C.A.B. Tastes Caribbean Food
Yesterday the CAB (Cat Advisory Board...which you know if you read my book!) met to taste Jenny's new Caribbean dishes.
Personally I thought the jerk chicken was still a little too spicy, but Rupert gobbled it right up. Then again, Rupert gobbles up any food he can get his paws on. He really shouldn't be on the Cat Advisory Board -- after all, we're supposed to be gourmet cats ... but then again, Rupert is so lovable I could never kick him off.
Monty and Alice liked the jerk chicken, so it was added to the menu.
Jenny finally got it right with the wahoo. She served it in a delicate fish broth and everybody loved it.
As I told you before, the barbecue pork was dee-lish and the others agreed, so we now have three new dishes for Mabel's Table. Pets Pets Pets will be thrilled.

Valentine's Day
I love Mabel....I absolutely adore Mabel....She is the most wonderful human in the whole world!
Yesterday, I heard Mabel talking to Nigel and The Countess about some fabulous Valentine's party they were all going to and I was feeling just the tiniest bit left out. Okay, let's be honest...I was feeling really sorry for myself.
And then, Mabel called Larry Lewis and arranged a play date with Monty. He just went home and I'm lying on my floor poster bed reliving the afternoon.
He noticed my manicure right away and said it was beautiful. Then he petted my new pink cape that Mabel got me for a Valentine present. Jenny made us special heart-shaped snacks that tasted like beef and we sat in my car and watched a show about big cats in the jungle on Animal Planet. I think I'll take a little nap and dream about Monty.

Caribbean Recipes
Nigel came over to meet with Jenny and work on the recipes he brought back from the Caribbean. They made jerk chicken, barbeque pork, tuna with sea salt and wahoo marinated in tequila and lime. They kept tasting and tasting and I was afraid there would be nothing left for moi.
I thought the jerk chicken was a little too spicy. And I must say, I prefer Jenny's tuna tartare to the new one with sea salt. I love the sound of wahoo, but they have to do some more work on it. But the barbeque port....dee-lish!

Manicure Pawticure
Mabel complained I was being destructive with my claws, so Becky said she could give me a manicure with this electric machine that her mother bought from a television commercial. I was a little nervous at first, but Alice told me not to worry because Becky gives her manicures all the time.
Alice was right -- it didn't hurt a bit. Actually, it felt sort of good. After she finished with the machine, Becky painted all 20 of my claws with the most beautiful red nail polish I ever saw. I can't wait for Monty to see me.
Now I'm not destructive to Mabel's upholstery anymore. But don't think I can't defend myself!

Little Cayman
Sorry to be incommunicado for so long, but internet access at our house on Little Cayman was very off and on.
Nigel went diving every day with his friend Seth who owns the house. He said it was heaven...beautiful coral, a fantastic wall -- whatever that means -- and lots of fish.
Mabel and I lay in the hammocks and walked on the beach. She read books, I napped and Nigel and Seth went fishing a lot and made all kinds of fish dishes. Caribbean food is spicy and I had to get used to it. Nigel wrote out the recipes for Jenny to make for our Mabel's Table gourmet cat food. I thought the best part was the sushi...dee-lish!
I have to go now...Alice is coming over for a play date.
