Zan's Birthday Party

Zan loved my book so much, she got her mother to buy copies of it to give to all the girls whom she invited to her birthday party.  There were 17 all together, including Zan and Becky...and she asked me to make a personal appearance at the party to autograph the books.  I know the girls will tell all of their friends about me and soon I'll be famous in their school.  I love being famous.

Raiding the Cookie Jar

I batted Lillian's special pocket, and then I scratched around until I made a little hole and got out some catnip...Dee-lish!  After awhile I was so hungry I walked into the kitchen looking for a snack.  There was nothing out...bummer.

I remembered that Jenny kept some fish cookies in a special cookie jar just for moi.   I jumped up on the counter to get some, but the cover was on the jar and I knew Mabel would kill me if I knocked it off and broke it...double bummer.

Then my inner genius kicked in.  I pulled on the paper towels until I had a paper towel pillow on the counter next to the cookie jar.  I nudged the cover off the jar and it had a perfect landing. Getting a cookie out was easy because the jar was full up to the top.  Dee-lish!

Now if I could only get Jenny to make Mrs. G's catnip cookies next time.

The Catnip Dolls

Mrs. G was so happy that we LOVED her catnip that she decided to have a catnip party for Rupert and Alice and Monty and me.  She made catnip tea and catnip cookies and she gave each of us a present to take home.  They were the most ingenious little people dolls and they had catnip sewed into their pockets.

I'm calling my person  Lillian after the lady who lives across the hall from us.  She's a million years old and she thinks she's better than everyone just because she used to be famous for something. Whenever she sees me she sniffs as if she's allergic.  Allergic my eye --now I can bat her around all day long!

Zan Reads My Memoirs to Me

Zan came downstairs to see me today.  Her parents were at work, Becky had a dentist appointment and Zan was lonely so she called to see if she could come over and play with me.

We had just gotten a new box of my book, "Tallulah:  Memoirs of a Business Cat" and Zan read it out loud to me.  I just love hearing my memoirs -- I could listen to them every day.  When it was time for her to go home, she said she was going to get her mother to buy her a copy of my book, but Mabel said we would give her one for a present, and I autographed it with my paw print, of course.

Rolling in Catnip

Mrs. G cut some catnip for Rupert and me.  We sniffed it and pawed it and rolled around in it and then we chewed it up.  We felt terrific -- we  told jokes to each other and then went inside to raid the fridge.  It's very frustrating not to be able to open the fridge whenever we want.  But Rupert is sneaky...he had a hidden stash of fish cookies...Dee-lish!

I wish we could eat catnip every day.

Mrs G. Plants Catnip

Mrs. G invited me to come up to the penthouse where she was planting for the summer.  Her penthouse  garden is very beautiful.  She has trees and planters and a very comfortable chaise lounge and a table and chairs.  I wonder if she'll have a tea party for us.

Rupert and I were especially interested in the catnip she was planting.  It smelled dee-lish and we couldn't wait to get our paws on it.

Alice's Birthday

I just got home from Alice's birthday party.  It was all girls -- Becky and Zan and Alice and me.  We wore party hats and Becky arranged for Jenny to make fish tea and fish cookies for the cats and people tea and cupcakes for the girls.

I wonder when my birthday is.  I hope Mabel has a party for me...a really big party with all of my friends -- cat and human.

Zan is Getting Popular

I'm so mad at Mabel...it always has to be her way.

First she had to call Zan's parents and invite them over for a drink. Then since everybody's so social, it took forever for them to find a date. They're finally coming over tomorrow, but by now Zan has been visiting Rupert and Monty and Alice and Becky, of course, and that leaves me VERY LONELY.

If Mabel doesn't make really good friends with Zan's parents -- or at least invite Zan to come and visit WHENEVER SHE WANTS TO, I just might have to make a visit myself -- to Mabel's shoe closet.

The New Girl in 997

Becky is so excited...her best friend from school just moved into 997 and Becky brought her over to meet me. Her name is Zan because her mother loves the designer Zandra Rhodes, whoever she is.
Jenny made cupcakes and lemonade for the girls and liver pate and fish tea for Alice and me.

Zan wanted to see my room and my clothes and my jewelry and my toys and of course, she loved everything and she says she wants to visit again soon because her mother is allergic to cats and Zan adores them. Actually, she adores moi, of course.

I wanted Mabel to tell Zan she could come over whenever she wanted, but you know Mabel. She has to meet Zan's parents and see if it's okay with them -- and check them out, of course.

Hats for Cats

Between the Easter Parade and The Morning Wake Up Show, the phone has been ringing off the hook from people who want hats for their cats. So Nigel got to work and designed a line he's calling Tallulah's Hats for Cats.

Pets! Pets! Pets! wants to produce it, of course...but Mabel said, "Wait just a minute. Maybe we should talk to the fashion industry." And she's working the phones as we speak. More later.
